A real case: DAYSTAR dispensers

soap, paper and gel units

DAYSTAR, one of our recurring customers, manufactures hygiene dispensers: soap, paper and gel units sold to offices, hotels and public buildings. Their housings are wiped several times a day, often with alcohol or a disinfectant, and a plain printed vinyl label loses its ink after a few months of that routine.

We produce the branding labels for those units in resin doming, cut to the shape of the dispenser front. The print is sealed under the dome, so the cleaning product never touches the ink, and the raised lens gives the plastic housing a finished, hardware-like look that a flat sticker cannot give.

Dome thickness: 1.5 – 2 mm, self-levelling, bubble-free, sealed to the edge
Resistance: UV-stable, waterproof, washable, -30 °C to +80 °C
Cleaning products: Withstands alcohol, standard disinfectants and neutral detergents; avoid abrasive powders and solvents such as acetone
Sizes: 10 × 10 mm to about 120 × 120 mm, rectangle, rounded, round or contour cut
Base material: Printed white or metallised vinyl, full colour, opaque white backing layer available
Adhesive: Permanent high-tack acrylic adhesive (3M type)

Resin is dosed on every piece and self-levels into a smooth dome, then cures for 12 to 24 hours in a dust-free room.

Every sheet is inspected under the lamp for bubbles, edges and colour, then packed flat and shipped.

Equipment labels — frequently asked questions

Do the labels survive cleaning products?

Yes. The print is sealed under the resin, so the cleaning product only ever touches the dome. Alcohol, standard disinfectants and neutral detergents are fine; avoid abrasive powders and strong solvents such as acetone.

Which surfaces can I apply them on?

Flat or slightly curved surfaces that are clean and dry: ABS and polycarbonate housings, painted or powder-coated metal, stainless steel, glass. On rough or textured plastic, tell us and we change the adhesive.

Can I order online, or do I need a quote?

Standard formats up to 120 mm and normal quantities are ordered straight from the configurator. Ask for a quote for large series, a format outside that range, a metallised base, or a set of several designs for one product range.

What is the minimum quantity?

50 pieces per design. Three different labels for one product range means 50 of each; ask for a quote and we group the production of the whole set.
